Adam Moe is a musical storyteller from Duluth, Minnesota, whose performances blend old-school charm with heartfelt originality. Equally at home on the fiddle, ukulele, and his signature tenor guitar, Adam draws listeners in with songs that feel both familiar and fresh—offering comfort, humor, and depth in equal measure.
From Pushing Chain to Solo Stage
In 2012, Adam co-founded the folky-tonk duo Pushing Chain, launching an eight-year journey across the U.S. and Canada. The band built its following face-to-face, one venue and one listener at a time—an old-school ethic that still fuels Adam’s work today. Highlights include appearances at major national festivals like the Woody Guthrie Festival and Kerrville Folk Festival, and features on both radio and television.
A New Chapter with an Old Soul
When the pandemic hit in 2020, Adam pivoted to a solo career. His current performances are a living mixtape of classic country, folk traditions, and his own songs—described by fans as witty, poignant, and unmistakably sincere. With vocals that recall vintage country crooners and a knack for lyric-driven storytelling, he invites audiences to listen closely, laugh a little, and maybe even reflect.
As one audience member put it: “This guy has an old soul.”
Featured Song: Limpin’ Home
This week’s song, Limpin’ Home, was written during a rough patch on the road. While touring in Austin, Texas, Adam faced serious car trouble—and for the first time in his long career traveling the country as a working musician, he ran out of money mid-tour. Stranded but not defeated, he found a place to stay and did what songwriters do: he turned the experience into music. The result is a tune that’s both weary and resilient, capturing the spirit of pressing forward when the road gets tough—literally and figuratively.
Music That Makes Strangers Feel Like Neighbors
Whether he’s singing about heartbreak or sharing a sharp-edged observation, Adam plays with the conviction that good music brings people together. His shows are more than performances—they’re gatherings. And if you find yourself sitting next to a stranger at one of them, don’t be surprised if you end the night as friends.
